Breakfast in Bed!

Sam spoiled us this week with breakfast in bed ... a big bowl of cheerios to share, a cookie and some water in wine glasses. WOW - thanks Sam!

First Soccer Game of the Season

Sam and Kai had their first game of the season on Saturday. They played hard and had a great time.

Tiffany and Brittni planned to jump into the glacier water before we even left for Lynn Canyon. They had their wet suits, towels and a change of clothes. When we got there, it took almost an hour for them to finally jump into the water ... they left victorious!

When we finally got down into the canyon, Courtney only lasted 5 minutes before she decided to jump in with her clothes on. It was a cold walk back!

Port Coquitlam, British Columbia

We made a quick trip out to the coast this weekend. We went to Port Coquitlam to visit the Donato Family. On Saturday we went to Lynn Canyon to hike and relax ... we had a great time! We even got to cross the swinging bridge ... freaky!

Trip to the Train Yard

Kai just started cub scouts and went on a field trip to the train yard. Chris, Sam and I tagged along. The boys loved it ... grease, metal and dirt. They even got to pull the horn on the train - it's very loud. Sam kept his hands over his ears while the kids took turns.

First Day of School

Today is the first day of school for the kids: Courtney is a sophmore, Tiffany is in 7th grade, Kai is in 3rd grade and Sam is in Kindergarten. We had everyone ready and out the door by 7:45 this morning. It's funny - I've waited a long time to have all four in school so I could work on some projects, but the house feels quiet and empty. I'll have to get used to this I guess.

Labor Day!

We got up early and prepped the garage for the cement slab - Courtney went with some friends for a round of paint-ball on the lower wolf trails and then we decided to take advantage of one the last hot days of summer and took the boat out with some friends. I think Courtney's been watching her uncle Corey - she was trying some tricks on the wake-board. She had some good wipe-outs! Hope everyone had a great long-weekend.
