Kai's Karate Competition

This weekend was all about Kai. Nana and Papa came down to watch Kai's karate competition in Spokane. He competed in the Washington State Karate Championships. He performed a purple belt kata #5 (amashiku). He was really nervous, but he amazed us all with his focus when he got out on the floor. We're proud of you, Kai!

Kai's Guild Auditions

Kai had his Guild Auditions on Friday. He memorized six piano pieces and performed before an adjudicator from Seattle. He did awesome and he'll get his scores next week.

Weekend at Moses Lake

Chris had a chiropractic seminar in Moses Lake this weekend, so we all decided to tag along. We had high hopes of some warm weather, but the hottest it got was in the high 50's. The kids went swimming anyway and it was pretty chilly!

Backyard Construction

Kai, Brinley, Sam and Hayden spent hours playing in the backyard. They took all the cut tree branches and made a fort in the sandbox. Pretty neat kiddos!

Goofy glasses!

The boys got to choose something from the prize basket for getting all their morning chores done this week. Kai and Sam chose "goofy glasses." Pretty cute guys!

Karate Promotions

Kai tested for his purple stripe in karate. Way to go Kai!

Easter egg hunt!

Corey, Lora and the kids came to visit. The kids had fun searching for Easter eggs in the backyard.

Spring Ensemble Recital

Kai performed in his Spring Piano Recital. He played one duet and two ensemble pieces. He was amazing and was very happy when it was over! Grandma and Grandpa Russell came to watch - we love having them visit.
